sadly, it does not seem to be available on Mubi US. Their offerings really tend to be different country to country I'm noting. Every time they post anything on IG, they specify which countries it's available in and then the comments are flooded with "what about @mubius?" "how about @mubiturkey?"

But watching Ema seems like such a good idea that I'll try to look at it this weekend some other way if I can

The original All The King’s Men (best movie winner at the oscars), is far superior to the remake.

Kick-Ass 2

After this one I’ve got 50 movies left from 2013. 25 I’ve never seen before, and 25 rewatches.

Mark Strong inadvertent double feature:

Sunshine, a movie I've been meaning to see for years but never got around to. It was good. A little formulaic but executed pretty well, until near the end.

Tar: Good movie. Tragic tale of greatness dragged down by the resentful, mediocre masses. eleven stars.

Anders you should tell us your opinions of these movies you're watching instead of just telling us you're watching them

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Sure.

Kick-Ass 2

I think the first one is one of the best movies from the 2010s, probably even a bit underrated in general.

This second one was enjoyable, but felt very light compared to the first one. Hit Girl’s teen in school scenes, were too cliche. Seen it in a hundred movies before.

Jim Carrrey was really good, however, the villains could not live up to the ones from the original. The final battle was a spotfest.

Had fun, but did not live up to the first one.

This got hot reviews everywhere, as the best DC animated movie.

It did have an original set up, strong animation, and wisely focused on The Flash. I can see why people love it, but I got a bit bored in the middle there, and never quite felt it could compete with the top DC live action movies.

I loved this when I saw it in the cinema, and was surprised when the others I went with (5-6 people), all were very meh about it. Don’t think I have seen it since.

Thought the first 15 minutes were top tier. Then my wife left for work, and I offered to stop the movie (she had suggested this as a movie I could see alone), and she accepted. So we will finish it tomorrow.

Even if this was just after noon, I have not seen another movie today.
