I checked out the first two songs, and I like what I heard.
Yeah, I had those two in mind when I wrote that post. There's a few spots in the album where they get away from that sound, but overall it's a good feel.
"When the Cynics Stare Back from the Wall" is the big highlight for me.

cover art reminds me of Tigermilk, but only because of the black and white photo, and not boobs.

It's solid. A bit of a departure from her previous stuff. She's stretching her sound. I'm not sure all of it works. But I enjoyed my first listen and I look forward to revisiting. I'm sure it'll open up nicely with more time.
