It's always been a rule in the category, I guess, that sequels are considered adapted. Looking back at the last 15 years, Toy Story 3 (2010) and Borat 2 (2020) also got nominations in the same category. The Argonaut wrote:That surprised me, tooVinylGuy wrote:Glass Onion getting a nomination is laughable.

Actually, scratch Borat 2--the original Borat in 2006 also got a nomination because it was adapted from the character from the TV show. But Toy Story 3 still fits the same bill.Simple Torture wrote:It's always been a rule in the category, I guess, that sequels are considered adapted. Before Sunset and Before Midnight getting adapted noms is another one that kind of strikes me as funny

Yeah, but I wouldn't call it a piece of shit. I'd call it silly and I'd complain that it takes about an hour to get moving, then gets silly again shortly after that. And I'd say that Rian Johnson didn't understand what was compelling about the first movie, so the sequel just ends up being very superficial with no guts or heart or hunanityVinylGuy wrote:Have you seen that piece of shit? The Argonaut wrote:That surprised me, tooVinylGuy wrote:Glass Onion getting a nomination is laughable.
