Pan fried a ribeye steak, basting it with some butter, garlic, rosemary, and thyme. While it rested I used the same pan and improvised a quick creamy mushroom and black pepper sauce. Topped the steak with the sauce and served with white rice. Fuck, what a home run. One of the best meals I've made in a while, very rich and decadent but low effort. It did feel like more of a dinner thing, so I'll experiment with this for a date night. Maybe make some mashed potatoes and pair it with a nice Malbec.
