Gigaton: Official album thread

There's not one song on BS or LB better than anything on Gigaton.

There are a few songs from those two albums that I could cite if I disagreed strongly, but...I don't.

Pretty much feel the same way. Certainly there's nothing on LB that i would take over any of the Gigaton songs. There are a few Backspacer songs that may be in the mix to replace a song or two on Gigaton but its not something i feel strongly about either way.

There are only 2 great songs on Backspacer, so that logic makes sense to me.

I'd rate 9/11 songs as three stars or higher, which means that 81% of this album doesn't suck.

So technically I'd say that Gigaton is the better album, but it has more to do with three awful songs weighing down Backspacer, and Gigaton having a whopping four songs rated at three stars. Gigaton is getting by more on its weighted mediocrity vs. Backspacer's sucky tracks, rather than some perceived creative excellence that Gigaton puts forth.

Gonna See My Friend is sneaky good.

Fixed! So Gigaton's non-suck rating jumps to 81%, but it's even more disproportionately because of its three-star song offering.
