Who knows if it's true, but allegedly he bought that house after getting a 400K settlement after he goaded Hulk Hogan into doing a wrestling move in which he passed out and hit his head. Was he doing a bit making fun of wrestling as fake?

That book is amazing. Highly recommend. We're so lucky that the government doesn't engage in that type of thing anymore... for uh... reasons.

Helter Skelter doesn’t give a full picture of the crimes, and given that it was written (sort of) by a major figure in the investigation that’s not a surprise. There is a much better book that doesn’t veer into Oliver Stone territory called Manson by Jeff Guin.

He doesn’t back his theories up, lots of “aww shucks I’d have enough evidence to prove this except ——.” The thread bi linked to even mentions that, even though the guy who wrote the thread seems to think it’s a revolutionary development.

I thought he was careful not to assert anything he didn't have evidence for, and making that clear several times was a good idea. Just the provable tidbits were interesting to me.

Here's my tinfoil: Fox News / Tucker Carlson (and Kevin McCarthy?) are bringing January 6th back in the news for two almost contradictory reasons:

1 - They want to distract MAGA-world from the Dominion lawsuit stuff and appease them by appearing to be on their side about January 6th stuff. They want to re-frame themselves as loyal and obedient to Trump and MAGA-world.

2 - But they think they are actually harming Trump by brining January 6th and stop-the-steal back in the news.

They are trying to thread a needle where they can dangle some incoherent conspiracy-victimhood to the most gullible people, to show they are on their side, but all the while actually hurting the Trump side of Republicans.

I don't completely believe this conspiracy theory, but I almost do.
