january 26, 2001 - the last time i smoked a cigarette.

i've never been as hungover as i was the day after (i remember the date because of the afc championship game on).

Pretty sure the last smoke I had was at the Forum before the PJ show and I’ll tell you what, it took forever to find one to bum. Hardly anyone smokes anymore.

My brother chains them. When we all get together at our parents, even sitting outside the whole time, we all come back smelling of smoke.

A friend? Sure. A stranger? Absolutely not. Them shits are ludicrously expensive in NZ. And bummers always seem to have bummer friends lying in wait. It's a chain reaction of bumming, so where do you draw the line? Right back at the start is where.

I've seen people charge money for a bum. I think that's a smart way to be charitable to an addict while also drawing a bright line for all of them to see. And if they're poor they shouldn't be smoking anyway.
