The fact that you can only get penalized for a brutal, cheap head shot that's only 5 yards more than holding someone's jersey is pretty stupid too. They should have a special penalty for flagrant roughing penalties (like 30 yards or something).

Related to this, I don't like how, after the offense gains a first down, one of their players can commit a personal foul, but they still get a 1st and 10 after marking off 15 yards back. That should be a 1st and 25.Chris_H_2 wrote:The fact that you can only get penalized for a brutal, cheap head shot that's only 5 yards more than holding someone's jersey is pretty stupid too. Not so much a rules problem since the NFL CBA recognizes this, but let's stop calling guys Pro Bowlers if they only made it as alternates. It's been hilarious seeing reports of all the guys listed to fill out all the Broncos and Panthers that will have bigger things than Hawaii on their minds.

The zombie runner starting in the 10th inning of MLB games, which apparently now will be permanent.
I'd be fine if this started in, say, the 12th, but doing it in the 10th seems like overkill.
Classic extra-innings rules remain in the postseason.

The mandatory stoppages every 4 minutes are also dumb. Why not make it four quarters with breaks at the 5 minute mark of each quarter?Bammer wrote:Mens college hoops has two halves instead of four quarters. Why.

College basketball started before professional, and the latter didn’t follow suit.Bammer wrote:Mens college hoops has two halves instead of four quarters. Why.

I agree with this 1000000%. The worst is when a team takes a TO at say the 9 minute mark, and then there's another TO at the first stoppage of play after the 8 minute mark.Monkey_Driven wrote:The mandatory stoppages every 4 minutes are also dumb. If they're going to have a TO for commercials every 4 minutes, at the very least cut down on the number of TO's you give each team.

Yeah, I'd have some sort of rule that if a timeout is taken within a minute of the mandatory stoppage, that is the stoppage. It's agonizing to watch in person.Chris_H_2 wrote:I agree with this 1000000%.
