Excellent.
weren't you the guy who called people who had their children circumcised child abusers?
I have oddly seen a lot of this sentiment recently. Usually referred to as genital mutilation.
As for the comment from Ed, it was a dumb thing to say. I think we have heard enough from him in the past to be able to put it into context as a fan of the band, but it will not do him any favors in the media.

That's me!
I can't decide whether to pen a serious response to that or not. In short, though I'm sure I said some regrettable things in that thread (including relying on some kind of vague assertions about rights), I'm pretty certain I stated that I felt circumcision as a procedure was horrific and comparable to a form of child abuse - I didn't make any assertions that anyone who circumcises their child is, ergo, a child abuser (and I don't think those conclusions logically lead to one another).
Anyway, this:

It was a dumb comment but that's just Ed being Ed....hes a little to left wing for me too, but I don't listen to his music because of his political or social views..in fact I disagree with a lot of them but in the end I don't really care because they make great music that means a lot to me personally and its gotten me through some rough times....I have the same views about pro sports players, I don't really care about what they say or do off the field as do their job by playing well and entertaining me that's all that matters to me.....actually I think ed is being a bit hypocritical in his comment, didn't he just a vignette showing him tossing a giant ax at high speed...wasn't that video shot at his home that he shares with his wife and infant children?....knives, hatchets, axes can be almost as deadly as guns...more brutal too...

WAIT...
Is it too much to ask that from now on a circumcised foreskin be referred to as "The ashes of his Mother Love Bone"?
I would support this.
I was circumcised for purely disability related reasons, and it's fairly common and much safer for many people prone to infection. This would've been my chat up line if I'd ever had a same sex encounter.
