For the animal vs animal dynamic a lot could depend on the initial placement of each group.

so are each put in the arena at the same time?

are they released one group at a time?

if the animals are going to protect you at all costs I would think rats and gorillas.

gorillas are ridiculously strong and quick

this is a what....160lb guy who gets dragged like a rag doll

the hunter gets taken out by the rats and two gorillas. one gorilla is lost. 8 of the wolves get overwhelmed by the rats and we are down to about 5500 rats now. the hawks are the x factor since they are the only animals of flight. the lions and wolves team up. 3000 rats lose their life. a small war party of rats chew out the crocodiles eyes. the crocs/hunter/ are off the table.

there is myself, 4 gorillas and 2000 rats

50 hawks, 3 bears, 2 lions, 4 buffalo and 3 wolves are left

the 4 gorillas take out the two lions. 1 gorilla is lost in the mele.

since the hunter is off the table i would snag the gun. i take the bears off the table

50 hawks, 4 buffalo and 3 wolves left

the three gorillas take out the wolves. one of the gorillas is injured and will not last long.

50 hawks and 4 buffalo are now left. i use the gun to take out the buffalo.

the last two gorillas cover me for the lat 17 minutes so the hawks do no damage

Oooh, none of us thought to take the dead hunter's gun!

It would depend on the initial placement of everyone to me. If might be almost impossible to get to the gun if the hunter doesn’t get many kills. There are too many variables in all this.

The lions (large males) would easily smoke the wolves and the gorillas.

If one of the animals got taken down - would the corpse attract the rats?

No. I think you'd need some level of rot to sink in.
