This sounds like one of those bullshit "MY truth" ideas. I don't care what your fucking truth is. Shut the fuck up.
(Not you tree_, any wanker that says "MY truth" can shut the fuck up).

I hear you and understand your frustration, but ultimately everything is perspective. The incomplete, confused, unholy version of subjectivity feels that, while so sure that their truth is important and real, others’ versions are somehow lesser truths, or complete falsehoods, probably only because they conflict with their own. The closest we can get to objectivity is collective subjectivity. We need more people with virtues like compassion and empathy to get there.

Hello Burt,BurtReynolds wrote:are you trying to anger me?tree_ wrote:virtues like empathy
I apologize if my statement about empathy being a virtue caused you to feel anger. That was not my intention. Rather, I believe that empathy is a valuable quality that can improve our interactions with others and promote greater understanding and kindness in the world.
Empathy refers to the ability to understand and share the feelings of others. When we are empathetic, we are better able to connect with people on an emotional level, and this can lead to more harmonious and meaningful relationships. Empathy can also help us to be more compassionate and caring towards others, as we are better able to understand their experiences and perspectives.
Empathy is especially important in situations where conflict or misunderstanding may arise. By taking the time to empathize with others, we can gain a deeper understanding of their concerns and motivations, and this can help us to find common ground and work towards a resolution.
In short, empathy is a virtue because it allows us to connect with others on a deeper level, understand their experiences, and demonstrate greater compassion and kindness in our interactions with them. I hope this explanation helps to clarify my perspective on the value of empathy.
Best regards,
