I've forgotten what problems I ever had with Future Days as a song, it's fine, it just has horrible production and arrangement like the whole album

Are there stems from Lightning Bolt? I remember a fan did something interesting with the stems of Backspacer.

You are consistent in your disliking of Getaway. It still surprises me. I think it's one of the better efforts.

I liked it when it came out, specially the outtro but the song hasnt aged well at all. The drums sound awful, Ed´s too loud, the lyrics are not good.

I don't like the album as much as you do, but I think this group of songs could be half of a really good album, if the rest of the album was as good or better.

The song here I like the least is Mind Your Manners, but as a lesser song on a full album, it's ok.

I think it’s also a testament of how bad it aged that most of this songs weren’t live staples even in the first year of touring.

Mind your Manners and Pendulum might be the only survivors and both sound great live. MYM is so much better live and it was really cool how they played it last year

When I tell somebody my favorite band is Pearl Jam, I'm always afraid they might go look up some Pearl Jam songs and hear something from this album.

That’s a nice way to remember an album.

I mean, I think it is their worst, but even at their worst, I think this album has plenty to offer. Depending on who I am introducing them to, the album to steer towards changes. A Buddy going through a midlife crisis who likes adult contempo music might get this recommendation from me.

this album is sheer garbage

maybe like half of two songs on here are salveagable

produced terribly

backspacer sucked but at least the band was spritzy

this is just hot hot garbage

embarassing overproduction

sloth

most of the songs are them 'trying to make a song that sounded like <some other band>'

hot hot garbage

the whole thing

hot

hot

garbage

Actually this album is the one that most sounds like Pearl Jam trying to sound like Pearl Jam.

If you can get past the ghastly production (big IF) the first half of the album is OK. The running order is shot - Sirens following Father's Son is ridiculous. But the first few tracks are OK. Side 2 - aside from Yellow Moon - is fucking atrocious.

Thesis still holds because they haven’t been Pearl Jam since Ed made Stone fire Dave A. over frittatas!!!!!!
