Eddie Vedder - Earthling

When a band is but a fraction of Pearl Jam, but they aren't zero Pearl Jam.

listening to this now for the first time in months; it'll always remind me of waking up in hospital after GRS, the day it was released; weird, special

No. Even less so with the passage of time. The album strikes the right note at the right moment, but no way does this band match what Pearl Jam does.

I’ll stick with does. I wouldn’t be surprised to see another of these albums. It’s possible that album happens even before the next Pearl Jam album given their constantly shifting timelines.

Wouldn’t include Super Wolf or River Cross, but rather Quick Escape and Buckle Up, along with Who Ever Said and Dance.

Nor all of this album, but Invincible, Brother The Cloud, Fallout Today and The Dark are top class.

The first halves of both of those albums are just so, so good.

Each of these albums are about 50% good, and each has like 1-2 songs I’d consider great

I hate the guitars on QE and never got into Buckle Up.

I celebrate the entire Earthlings catalog at this point. I even like replaying On My Way again and again.

I hesitated to like Super Wolf for awhile but started playing the live version and for whatever reason I like that one better even though he can barely keep up.

Blasted side A of this one today, and its great. I wonder how The Dark and Fallout Today would sound played by Pearl Jam. The ending of The Dark specially.

No Earthling at Innings Fest.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

it is kinda weird they havent announce a tour or Ed is planning one in this solo outfit. An Earthlings one seems tricky, Chad will play with RHCP a lot this year.
