It was OK. I just feel like it could be better. It's good enough.

i liked it enough, i thought it was the best of the bunch so far. Mainly because i really cared about the relationship between the two, and even if i did know what was going to happen, i was on the edge of the seat expecting them to have an impossible happy ending.

Kudos to both Ramsey and the fucking great Storm Reid, she is an awesome performer.

Yeah she was really good. Not sure I've seen her before. And what a cool name.

Down with 80s/90s nostalgia. Let's do more early to mid-00s stuff like the excellent mall set.

On The Watch podcast, they've done some bits about what the world would be like if culture (music, movies, TV) just stopped in 2003, and while discussing a previous episode, one of them did say, "I always wanted to spend more time with Riot Act..." so I lol'd when All or None started playing.

That's pretty good because Andy notoriously hates grunge. He may be the only person above the age of 40 who loves the My Chemical Romance era of music.

Not really sure what Veggie and Tree are seeing in Storm Reid's performance. Seemed very average next to Ramsey.

I think I distanced myself from her character because she’s obviously not around anymore; just served a purpose

spoiler alert: turns out everyone who owns a cassette of Riot Act is immune to the fungi
Spoiler: show
just found a leaked screenplay scene online

EXT. ABANDONED RECORD STORE - DAY

A group of survivors, including JEN, a young woman in her mid-twenties, cautiously approach an abandoned record store. They carefully check the surrounding area for any signs of danger before entering the store.

INT. RECORD STORE - DAY

Jen and the others carefully make their way through the store, searching for any useful items or supplies. Jen notices a cassette tape on a shelf and picks it up.

JEN: (excitedly) "Guys, look! It's Riot Act by Pearl Jam! I used to listen to this album all the time!"

As she holds up the cassette, one of the other survivors, MIKE, suddenly stops in his tracks and stares at her.

MIKE: (surprised) "Wait, you have Riot Act? You're immune!"

Jen and the others look at Mike, confused.

JEN: "What do you mean? Immune to what?"

MIKE: "The virus. The people who own Riot Act are immune to the virus."

Jen and the others are shocked. They had heard rumors of a possible immunity to the virus, but they never thought it could be linked to a specific album.

JEN: (excitedly) "Are you serious? That's amazing!"

MIKE: "Yeah, I heard it from a guy I met a few weeks ago. He said he was immune because he had the album too."

Jen looks down at the cassette tape in her hand and smiles.

JEN: "Well, I guess this little cassette just became even more valuable than I thought."

The group continues their search of the store, now with renewed hope and a newfound sense of purpose. They know that finding more copies of Riot Act could mean the difference between life and death in this apocalyptic world.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Yeah that was tedious and cringey. If I'm honest, I'm really ready for this to be over. There's a ton of promise but it just keeps missing the mark. If not for the consistently great performances all around I would have bailed.
