I saw Chvrches 3 weeks ago. They were fantastic, go see them if you get a chance.

On the rail at Wrigley to see Pearl Jam. If you have never heard of them I suggest you go see them, I think this band could make it. :D

I quite like JD but I've never sought out any live recordings. I wonder if Perry can still hit those notes..

His voice is in fine shape. I dont think he can hit all those notes, but he has done a very good job hiding his vocals issues.
And the band is fucking amazing live, saw them in 2010 and the show was pretty great....im not expecting something very different, but i hope they play something from their last album.

As for Muse, they were a very good band in 2008, first time i saw them, a shitty band in 2010 second time i saw them and im not interested at all in their current work...but still, they are great live.

JA*. Too hungover to think apparently.

I just really dig Eric Avery's bass work, so I'd be thrilled if they made the trip down under. I doubt that will happen, though.

Saw Muse in 2004 hot off the release of Absolution and it was amazing. They were closing with Stockholm Syndrome and Bliss for most shows on that tour. I was well impressed.

I love Eric...he might be one of my favorite 90s bass players along with Ben Shepherd and Jeff. But he is not playing with these guys anymore, Chris Chaney is back. And he is fucking good too, i hope to hear some songs from Strays and TGEA, im a big fan of both of them.

As for Muse, dont get me wrong i had a blast at both of the shows i went to. The second one they were the openers for U2 so the whole night was great.
But their recent output..i just dont care for it. Still, it one of the best live shows out there.

So I just read up on this Chris Chaney fellow. He has recorded with some pretty gnarly musicians. I'll have to give some of it a listen later.

On Muse, they've shifted too far into the favor of poorly implemented processed beats and the like to do much of anything for me anymore. I'll agree that their shows are still pretty ridiculous, though. Its almost like stadium performance art.

Heh, no though I do love a good BT show; can't say I haven't been spoiled in CT. And I would love to finally catch a show at the Jefferson, always miss a good one by a day or so when we're down there. But I did see these in my evening music perusal:

Wasn't sure if they still did InstantLive releases but more is almost always better.
