Re: Star Wars : The Mandalorian (Disney+ 2019)
This just happened today...
A coworker had mentioned he's playing catchup and watching The Mandalorian. He hasn't seen any other Disney+ SW shows as well.
I asked what episode he's one. He said he finished Ep. 6 of Season 2.
I asked if he has heard anything about the show on the internet, or knows what goes on with the show. He said no.
I said, I think you'll like it. He left to work from home at lunch.
A few minutes ago I get a text "Holy Cow!!!!", "Luke and R2!!!!"
I thought it was fun to see his reaction to something like that.

I'm pretty sure that's what the new Adam Driver movie is about.Coach wrote:Imagine if they find a Mythosaurs skeleton on Earth?

I was thinking more Robert E Howard vibes while I was watching. Those creatures with the clubs felt straight out of a Conan story.

Loved that episode despite some exposition heavy dialogue. Great visuals.

Good lord, the dialogue in this season has been awful. Maybe it’s just Pascal’s delivery but it’s all seeming like Alias or something. Also brining R5 back out of nowhere is cheap. What’s next, a clone of some old bad guy?

I wouldn't really call it "out of nowhere."

Around 95% of the people watching had no idea who that droid was.
There’s ~ 10% wiggle room / margin of error of middle aged men like us who were watching and went hang on. Hang on, that’s the droid that blew up and Luke picked R2 instead!!
And they got a cool little buzz for remembering.
And that’s the point

If it makes you feel better, pretend it's a different R5 that does looks very similar.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

While we’re talking the beautiful shots in this.
The one with the camera running down the length of the daksaber with bo and she has the shield thing on her other arm.
Just brilliant

It's amazing what happens when you get an award nominated cinematographer to direct.dimejinky99 wrote:While we’re talking the beautiful shots in this.

Happy to see the Andor is better than Mando dialogue crashed and burned on take off.
In the online space I mean.
They’re two entirely different things. Done differently and meant to be.
But both great. It’s not a competition
