Certainly when I think of the unlucky and downtrodden I think of Tom fucking Sizemore.

Would you want to be born with his brain as him? Certainly not idealepilogue wrote:Certainly when I think of the unlucky and downtrodden I think of Tom fucking Sizemore.

His brain as him put him in a position of wealth, fame and opportunity. His brain as him got him acclaim and adoration. His brain as him gave him a long, praised career and opened doors and received so many flowers in death. His brain as him gave him the access and ability to help a ton of people.

The Bélier Family
Saw this in the cinema in 2014, well made and funny French movie. An American remake recently did well.
Enjoying this to end my Thursday, after a very long day at work to start the day.

What I would have done is irrelevant. It's what he chose to do that matters here. He made bad choices.tree_ wrote:If you were him you would have made all the same choices that he madeepilogue wrote:His brain as him put him in a position of wealth, fame and opportunity. His brain made the choices it made because it wasn’t a good brain. He didn’t choose his brain. It’s luck of the draw. Pity and sympathy is appropriate.epilogue wrote:What I would have done is irrelevant. It's what he chose to do that matters here. Re: What movies are you watching?
Will this evening watch The Rover, which I have not seen before, and Force Majeure, which is highly rated, but which I did not love when I saw it once before, some years ago.
After that, I will have 45 movies left from 2014, 30 I have seen before, and 15 I have never seen.

Thought The Rover was a little boring. Guy Pearce and Robert Pattinson in a desolate and hard post apocalyptic future. Some action, but fairly straightforward.

My records indicate I watched The Rover about two years ago and everything about it would seem to indicate that this movie was made for me, but I remember absolutely zero about itAnders wrote:Thought The Rover was a little boring. Re: What movies are you watching?
I saw 65, the movie where Adam Driver is an alien who crash lands his spaceship on Earth 65 million years ago and then fights a bunch of dinosaurs. Despite Adam Driver playing a character who seems human in every way, I found myself rooting for the dinosaurs. Because in the war of Earthlings vs Aliens, I want to root for the Earthlings.
I do appreciate that it's a brisk 90 minute movie stuffed full of action sequences, but, sadly, a lot of those sequences feel very similar to each other. So, despite the quick pace and reasonable running time, it ends up feeling a bit repetitive. I may have rolled my eyes a few times near the end.

Re: What movies are you watching?
Force Majeure was ok, a little better the second time. It has some interresting scenes, and intriguing tension between the main couple.

Palm Trees and Power Lines.
Loved it. So hard. The ending is devastating. Reminds me of a very good friend of mine who got mixed with this psychopath and she just couldnt get off from that relationship.
The lead actress is wonderful.
