No that it makes him any less of an idiot but i think that by starting the sentence with "i get so angry that" he implies he doesn't wish bad things on these people but it crosses his mind when he gets angry about it. I think people understanding that quote as him pragmatically wishing bad things upon pro-gun people, aren't any more intellectually challenged as he is being described as.

Comments like this remind me of something I'd read at the Pit. Whatever PJ or Ed does is ok because...

I haven't listened to the interview, but was he talking about gun owners or individuals who feel there should be no gun regulation whatsoever?

I figure gun owners as we already have gun control. The problem is if someone is going to break the law and remember it is agaist the law to murder someone. Why would they try to buy a gun by the legal means I would. I also want to clarify I am pro gun and pro gun control most gun owners are, but remember we already have gun control. Is more needed? That is the debate.

I'm kind of surprised this guy became a Pearl Jam fan in the first place.

So after some thought, Ed's comments are coming from a deep hurt, pain and anger over the tragic events of the last couple years. Ed has always been anti gun this is nothing new. The bad things comment was, bad taste. I doubt Ed wishes bad thing happen to people like Depp, Grohl, Clapton and others doesn't Jerry Cantrell hunt? The point is Ed's heart is in a good place it aways has been. He wants a better place for us all. We all do, well all of us that are thoughtful human beings. There is no need to paint gun owners as a bunch of nuts. There are wack jobs every where in society. I am done with this topic, and not done with Pearl Jam.
