Ugh. The Bucs are rumored to be interested in Mayfield. There goes Mike Evans’ streak of consecutive 1,000 yard seasons

he is so weird

might be the most hot/cold QB ever

have played on the far end of exceptionalism and bottom end of irrelevance

such a strange case

Bucs could prob sign him for cheap tho and then draft someone

They’re giving Trask his shot. Baker’s an insurance policy, and he’s proven to be pretty good in a backup role.

Baker officially named the starter over Trask.

In theory, yes. But a 7-10 Bucs with a distracted Tom Brady wasn't exactly a fun season.

I was on the fence about whether or not they should play for the NFC South title since it is a weak division, or just start Trask and play for the number one pick and one of the two really good QBs available in next year's draft. With the news that Jensen is out again this year, I say lose as many as you can and go for the good draft pick.

Saw a post game interview with Baker yesterday. He seems more mature and focused. Hoping that continues throughout the year. And he is dialed in on making Evans look good for a new contract.

Yes I’m still not sold on him. He’ll do just enough to get us a mid round draft pick so we can’t get a good qb, then we’ll have to resign him again. It’s a vicious cycle.

I've been there, buddy.

I don't know why I even like Baker but I do and I want him to succeed.

Mike Evans. 10 seasons in the NFL, 10 seasons with over 1,000 yards. Only three of those seasons with TB12, the rest were trash QBs. Only Jerry Rice had more consecutive seasons. If they don’t resign him in the offseason i will stop being a Bucs fan.
