I went to the Franklin Park Reading Series last night and listened to some really nice stories by some great artists. I bought three of the participating authors' books. I'll be reading one of these next:

Nicholas Sparks on Cormac and "Blood Meridian" in a USA Today interview a couple years ago.

"Horrible," he says, looking at Blood Meridian. "This is probably the most pulpy, overwrought, melodramatic cowboy vs. Indians story ever written."

I just don't know what to say....
