Pretty great move because Xavien Howard doesn’t necessarily look like a number one anymore.Non-dolphins fans don’t seem to realize how good Tua really is if only he can stay healthy. The draft is always a tossup. Good to have proven players in important positions.
I'm sure I said it a long time ago in this thread but to me the goal has always been to win a title with Tua on his rookie contract. The front office is giving themselves to do just that. A good QB on the rookie contract is the best bargain in sports, now just hope he stays healthy.

And X was lowkey awful a lot last year so you'd think this move could help him in a major way.

Also Vic Fangio's defense is mostly zone coverages, which will benefit him. He got burned so many times last year playing man on an island.

Mike White to back up Tua. Good choice.

If you are going into the playoffs wouldn't you feel better w/ Brady at the helm?

I mean I wouldn't sign Brady if that means messing things up with Tua but still....the fact that Brady delivered a title in Tampa is still pretty amazing. Can he do it again? Who knows but hard to tell the GOAT no if he wants to play for your team.

For me it's f'n personal. Brady was our arch-enemy for 20 years. The cognitive dissonance I'd feel rooting for him as a Dolphin would make my head explode. I've always hated him. Even when he was successful, I'd find ways to argue he actually sucks.

Tampa Bay's defense in the Super Bowl and the refs in Green Bay delivered that title, btw.

A title's a title, so I don't buy much into could have and would haves...I mean those two Giants losses were painfully close. It is what it is.

But yeah, could understand how it would be weird to root for him.

Kinda reminds me of Bledsoe to the Bills

The ends do not justify the means. I'd rather see Tua have a somewhat successful season as a Dolphin than have Brady win us a title.

Yep, I don't blame you....but.....

Would you rather:

a. Brady wins MIA a title next year.

b. Tua goes deep into playoffs but fails.

I thought I just made that very clear with my previous posts. I'd prefer Tua even with less success. He's fun to root for.

It was pretty clear, I just had to check. In most situations I would take the title.

Skylar Thompson could beat him out in training camp. But I hear you. Thing is, if Tua goes down, it's a failed experiment no matter what. We can't afford a pricey back-up if we're going to build the team right. But we believe it's an experiment worth the price of admission.

All the more reason to pray for Tua.
