Nice, I'm planning to check this out over the weekend. Pretty sure this remake will be a day one purchase for me. Admittedly I never got far with the original RE4 because the controls were so awful. Are the controls modernized like the RE2 remake (which was excellent)?
Yup!

I thought the Wii controls were great on the original.

Yeah, the "tank controls" never bothered me in the original RE games, so the Wii version seemed like the perfect sweet spot of quick aiming and building tension with limited movement.

Yeah but you're talking to a guy who's pretty awful at gaming in general. I never actually had a Wii but remember playing on PS3 or PS4 (or something) and being super disappointed at how difficult it was to control Leon. I'm pretty excited to finally play a game that everyone raves as a classic 3rd person action/adventure!

 so bad. From the gratuitously long log-in, to the menu layout, to the sound FX, to the combat. Just a total disaster. They really need to give this franchise a hard reset — stop trying to compete with COD — or just let it go.
disappointing

Resident Evil 4 Remake and Tears of the Kingdom have a chance!
If I had more time I'd definitely get these two and finish them completely. The Metroid Prime remaster looks amazing. Maybe one day soon. But I'd want to play it on my TV and my old switch isn't connecting with controllers anymore.. so probably not. Maybe I'll bring it into work and play it there, though... I think I'll do that.

It is downloaded!

I'm about halfway through Last of Us Part Two. Just sort of biding my time until Jedi Survivor at the end of the month. I'm going to wait for a price drop on Resident Evil 4 Remake and Dead Space.

I'm playing Indigo Prophecy now. Until Dawn was great. It felt like an actual horror movie. I didn't mind when a character got killed. It felt right.

I never heard of Little Hope or the Dark Pictures Trilogy. They definitely look right up my alley.
