I don’t have super high expectations or anything. I don’t really even know what it’s about, but I just want to have a good fun time.

Cocaine bear was filmed down the road from me. In case you’re wondering

And no. I haven’t seen it. Yet.

Jersey Boys

Really enjoyed this. Feel it’s underrated. Good music, good story, fine acting and directing.

Possession (1981). Wow! What a blast. I'd heard about this movie but had somehow never seen it. Way, way, way into this. I could never tell where it was going. Full of intensely bizarre moments and a sort of grotesque, unsettling beauty. Isabelle Adjani and Sam Neill completely unhinged here. Blown away by this one

Yeeeesss, so good. I love that one. I just searched for my RM review of it from when I saw it for the first time myself not long ago. I said it was "a lot of fun in the least fun way imaginable." Just a killer movie

Also watched Infinity Pool, another movie that deals with the theme of the doppelganger. I like the premise and some of the more visceral and violent moments, as well as Mia Goth's performance (it's nice that they finally let her use her real voice in a movie). But it fell kind of flat in some regards and it was impossible for it not to feel somewhat limp after watching a movie as intense as Possession.

some movies don't work as the first half of a double feature. you've gotta live with them for a while

It just felt like it was constantly pushing for a certain chaotic, debauched tone and always falling short

Infinity Pool was so dissapointing for me, especially after Possessor. Hate the Mia Goth character, super annoying.

The Village. M. Night sure could attract a cast back in the day. Well, until this one.

We watched Zoolander with the kids last night. One of my kids was absolutely tickled with Jerry Stiller. He laughed at just about every scene he was in.

Big Hero 6

Outstanding animation, and lots of clever ideas. Mayne not as funny as intended, but overall a pretty good movie.
