Re: The Coffee Appreciation Thread
I saw improvement on the palpitations after giving up coffee for sure. I eventually started drinking tea, and have now gone back to coffee every now and then. Moderation is big.bart wrote:Always have had a quiet contempt for non-coffee drinkers but I might become one of them. Caught my kid's stomach fllu last week and spent a few days too sick to think about having coffee, and now I really dont have the desire for it in the morning. I've been having mild palpitations over the past few months and between quitting drinking for the most part a couple months ago and this past week without coffee, I'm noticing a significant improvement. The real test will be tomorrow when I go back to work.

Yeah giving up alcohol has been a huge change for the good. Caffeine has been a gradual rollback from 3 years ago when I had a super stressful job and was doing 20+ oz of coffee in the morning and two Bangs in the afternoon.

Palpitations can be pretty serious, no? I'd definitely switch to green tea and see how that goes.

Target sells Starbucks pods for the Nespresso Virtuo now. First time I’ve seen that style on shelves outside of the Nespresso store.

I had a Red Bull at 8 in the morning before a football tailgate and I couldn’t get to sleep that night.Bammer wrote:Ever had a 5 Hour Energy?Chris_H_2 wrote:if i had more than 2 cups a day i feel like i'd have a heart attack. i get so jittery.dad wrote:about two weeks ago, i started cutting back on my coffee intake, from 4-5 cups/day to 2. i don't have problems with jitters or sleep. i just wanted to cut back.

My brother in law had a 5 hour energy and called for an ambulance because he thought he was having a heart attack. We make fun of him mercilessly.
