Re: Lightning Bolt: The Official Album Thread
I've decided I liked the S/T artwork, but the fact that the music didn't fit it (not quite drug-induced and trippy enough) sort of diminishes it. The last album I liked completely (including artwork) was Riot Act. So this is the best album and artwork since then for me.stip wrote:it looks really good. Probably their best artwork this side of vitalogy.
well, and S/T, obviously.

Opinions are great and I'm expressing mine. It's art. I understand. No right or wrong.Juvenal wrote:Opinions be different, yo?Coach wrote:People have lost their minds.

I think that when you rate a song a "5" or a "4" or even a "1" you've got to look how you've rated similar PJ songs in that category and ask yourself: "Do these belong in the same recognition or category?"

Sleight of Hand is the best song they've ever written.

Infallible, Pendulum, Getaway, Yellow Moon, My Father's Son. I'm not sure I can count 5 on Binaural and Riot Act combined.solace wrote:holy shit. which ones? it has not a single one for me... the highest would be Pendulum at a 4.5/5 and Getaway 4/5Release_Me wrote: LB has five 5 star songs

Even within the 5 star range there's lots of room.
I don't know if any songs on here will be 5 stars. But quite a few will come close.

not really.. 5/5 = essentially a perfect song that you have zero complaints about, of which that hasn't happened for a decade with mestip wrote:how can any song from Binaural or Riot Act be 5 stars compared to that?solace wrote:Coach wrote:People have lost their minds.
