Re: 2013 NFL Season
Easy to say that in hindsight. Tougher to actually execute. I wish NFL coaches were a little bit more heady when it comes to these kinds of decisions.Green Habit wrote:Earlier today I read about another strategy the Cowboys could have taken last weekend instead of allowing the Broncos to score a TD. After Demaryius Thomas gets that first down at the 11, someone on the Cowboys should have committed a dead ball foul that awards an automatic first down. This pushes the Broncos to a first and goal at the 5 1/2 yard line, yet the Cowboys would have two time outs and about 1:50 left on the clock. The Broncos could then only bleed the clock down to about 1:00 before being forced to score. Also, the Cowboys would then have no worries about forcing the FG, because then they'd be playing for the win instead of the tie when they got the ball back.

I mean I don't like it either, but would you rather the Lions do what that paragraph describes and give themselves a chance to win or just sit there and watch helplessly as they lose?@SkitchP wrote:Monkey_Driven wrote:Easy to say that in hindsight. Yeah, i really don't know more about ap then the fact that he can run through a brick wall, but i hope he is able to avoid what i would imagine is a natural parental instinct and go kill that piece of shit. i hope for the best for his son, but also hope Peterson doesn't potentially ruin his own life by going after the guyThejambi wrote:Yeah i couldnt believe this when i read it. i hope he doesnt do anything rash. His son is stable but in critical condition.
AP is back at practice. I have him in fantasy. Perhaps he will be running with a lot of anger this weekend.

That is fucking horrible. I couldnt imagine being able to pull it together to play.
If he does, he's going to run all over his opponents.
