Tremor Christ. I love the feel of this song. The lead guitar crunches against the bass line that make you feel like you are on uncertain ground - like on a boat in rough seas.

Do the Evolution is a top notch song for me, balls to the wall Pearl Jam, and maybe the last time they pulled off such a thing so successfully? Quick Escape is probably the closest thing to the pure cathartic exercise since? I am sure I am missing some song in that 22 year spread, but that’s kind of how that feels. That said, and I love a massive cathartic song, Tremor Christ always seemed like almost under the radar the best of what I like about Pearl Jam, even if it isn’t my all time favorite song of theirs (close to it).

This is a great final, folks.

I am pretty happy with this result since this is a great song. It’s not lost on me that each song I voted for in the semi-finals and finals lost. Almost a badge of honor. But I think it says a lot about the depth of their catalogue that I was rarely upset with the outcome of any particular vote in this tournament since there were always great songs to choose from each time around. Bravo to Stip and even Pearl Jam.
