Been listening to 90s country lately, mostly for purely nostalgic reasons. Despite not liking it at the time and going out of my way to avoid it, I know every lyric and singer by heart. This stuff was ever-present.

I don't think I've ever heard the term "doomscroller" previously, or at least not that I particularly recall. Metric's album of last year opens with the track "Doomscroller", Dawes released an album "Misadventures of Doomscroller" last year and now I see Quasi's 2023 album has a song on it "Doomscrollers".

That's a lot of doomscrolling.

"Tik Tok" was not minor at all. It was #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for months."Your Love Is My Drug" was also huge. She's had a few other successful songs but those two were among the biggest songs of the year they came out
