I just watched The Royal Rumble. It did have some good moments, and I agree that the ending to the main event was especially good.

Both the rumbles were kind of meh, but the main event and the ending were phenomenal.

Cody winning was fine, but the rumble kind of sucked. No storylines through the match, no surprise entrants, and it was blatantly obvious who was winning. You’ve got to leave at least one other plausible winner in there until the end.

But Sami got an Austin level pop when he swung that chair.

Agreed on the Rumble. It was way too front loaded and the lack of any drama about who would win really hurt it.

That main event was something special though.

I think the good outweighed the bad/mediocre, just barely, on the men's rumble. The main event was definitely redeemed by the ending. I generally find Reigns matches fairly boring though.

Yeah, he works one match. It’s the same match every time basically. It’s the Lesnar match template but his matches usually don’t have the creativity that Lesnar ones do.

Cody in WWE still feels very strange.

My brother and I watched (most of) Revolution last night and had a great time.

Jericho vs Starks - 3/5 - solid enough match. Jericho looks very old and, while I like Starks as a character, he's never really impressed me as a wrestler

Jungle Boy vs Christian - 4/5 - A much better execution of the veteran vs rising star match. Christian is a great heel and I've always liked Jungle Boy.

Trios match - 4/5 - fast paced and exciting. Not enough selling for my taste and maybe a few too many big false finishes, but in this match type that's fine.

Moxley vs Hangman - 4.25/5 - Great brawl. Really violent.

Joe vs Wardlow - 2/5 - Big letdown. The crowd didn't really seem to care about Wardlow.

Iron man match - 5/5 - Incredible. MJF is the real deal.

I thought the finish to the deathmatch was so good. They were able to find a way for hangman to win the match in a credible way.

Think I would do:

2.5/5
3/5
4/5
4.5/5
1.5/5
5/5

Women’s match:
2/5

The last few weeks I've spent no more than ten minutes reading about current wrestling news, watching youtube videos about wrestling, etc...and I haven't been happier in a year.

Think the first night of Mania was a little boring. Surprised when I saw that most people on twitter rated it highly.

I thought it was fun. Had a couple great matches, hit all the high notes. They seem to have finally figured out how to put on a good Mania again with the two night format.
