Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

There is a very pronounced motion smoothing effect on Amazon video for me and I have no idea why or how to fix it. Obviously I have motion smoothing turned off via my tv settings and it’s not happening on other apps - wtf could be causing this??

I don’t know why I chose this thread to post that but it is still annoying the shit out of me. Seems to be happening with all the HDR stuff, including movies I have already watched on Amazon and didn’t have this issue with a few months ago. Hmm

Yup it’s seemingly confined to just Amazon and just hdr. I’ve turned my tv off several times, toggled back and forth on the motion smoothing option in the tv menu, scoured Amazon for some hidden setting that’s causing it, and no luck. Halloween Ends, Beast, and some other random movie in hdr are all unwatchable, but non hdr recent movies look normal. On the other hand hdr movies on other apps look fine. It’s bizarre.

It’s probably because it knows you shouldn’t be watching Beast or haven’ Halloween Ends. Try a Chris Pratt movie. That should work

UPDATE: for some reason this is only a problem when I use my Roku, so now I just log into Amazon straight from the tv. Thank you all for your support through this difficult time.

So… that new Barbie trailer is not good.

i think it looks awesome. Very gonzo, Pee Wee's Big Adventure with a meta-feminist bent.

They told everybody that this was a great script, with great comedy, and so far i havent laughed once.
I kida feel this is going to be ¨Barbie: woke adventure¨ and it will be as tone deaf as it get, but the worst of all, it will be really awful.

I probably will watch it in a theatre anyway.
