A very well made film. Some brilliant cinematography and an outstanding score. del Toro is an all-timer for sure -- I can't recall ever seeing him deliver anything but a top tier performance. Blunt was also excellent. I still don't really like Brolin or Bernthal though.

I'd give it a 7.9, which is a bit more generous than its IMdB rating of 7.1
Man, that was the beginning of an incredible run of films for Villenueve; Sicario - Arrival - Blade Runner 2049 - Dune.
He is doing really well. Will rewatch Sicario soon. Lopk forward to it.

Mustang

«When five orphan girls are seen innocently playing with boys on a beach, their scandalized conservative guardians confine them while forced marriages are arranged.»

Turkish movie. Good start so far, covering mostly the text above.

Took the kids to Super Mario. It was fine... more clever than funny, but they liked it.

Lost In The Sun

«A small time crook and a newly-orphaned teenage boy team up to perform a string of robberies.»

Don’t expect too much from this, but wanted to see it.

Mustang was clearly the superior of the movies today, although I enjoyed both of them.

I'm on a roll. My last three watches have been L'argent (Bresson, 1983); Hardcore (Schrader, 1979); and Dressed to Kill (de Palma, 1980). All three certified stone cold treats. Very enjoyable

I did. It's like a very good HBO miniseries. Worth looking at if you're into that sort of thing

Insurgent

Possibly at the very bottom of all the 2015-movies I will see, but when I watch this amount of movies from a year, not all can be great. On a positive note, I do think YA movies are fairly easy entertainment.

Rosita

«Ulrik misses the love and tenderness of a woman and arranges for the young Filipino Rosita to come to Denmark and be his wife.»

Seen this once before. Good movie, with some really interesting true to life characters.

Rewatched The Witch. Think Robert Eggers is growing on me. Enjoyed it even better this time. Very good role by Anya Taylor-Joy.
