Great version. Although in parts of that song he kind of looks like Shooter McGavin from Happy Gilmore. Seriously.

How about this... Unplugged is the most important show the band ever played.

I might be in a significant minority by saying that I'm glad that Ed wrote all of these lyrics, because there's thematic consistency and I enjoy the themes Ed is obsessed about. Generally his obsessions are also mine. Except for the hatchets, I don't throw hatchets.

So, since I'm going to the show tomorrow, I was trying to decide which of the new songs I'd like most to hear live. I'm torn between Infallible and Yellow Moon but if I could only choose 1 I'd take Infallible. Just think the increased live intensity will add to the song. Of course, I doubt they'll play either.

I'm going on Tuesday and hope for the punk, rockers vs. the slower tunes, which bring a show down.

I'd like to hear MYM, My Father's Son, and Getaway live. I hope they open with Getaway.

I'm sure they'll play some of those faster ones. And you're right, 90% of the crowd will not have heard any of these songs so a new slower song will kill the crowd.

I love SBM. I wouldn't say I loved LTRP in a million years, but I'd call it successful. It's a one-trick pony but it pulls off the trick nicely.

I still watch it. Oceans, Black and Porch are outstanding. That he had a vocal chords the next day, never mind 21 years later is a miracle. Still weird how the show was shot out of order though, you can tell he's struggling a bit on even flow after the Porch performance.
