It's definitely the best song since Dance of the Clairvoyants
Someone's going to need to fire up the Gigaton thread and crank out another "I can't believe how good this thing is" post.

I think Stone nowadays. I do think he writes the most songs, but only 1 or 2 make it to a PJ album nowadays.

Ed should have done something better with Evacuation. Instead he mimicked Cornell, which he cant do live, and now they can never play the song

Matt had nothing on Lightning Bolt. One on Gigaton other than the band-written DOTC. Two co-writes on Backspacer. One co-write on Avocado (which I was unaware of. I thought he wrote the music himself)

So four tunes since Riot Act 20 years ago. For four albums. The band has very much remained the Ed/Stone/Jeff show with Ed tunes pretty much dominating the songwriting.

Not that Dance was some huge grand "experiment," but I'd like to see more "experimenting" with different soundz.

they should experiment with trying to make Dance of the Clairvoyants sound good live

that live covid one totally different ...

talking about their live concerts ... the sound quality just isn't there ... levels all fucked up ... should just stick to the setlists i supply them in advance

Ed's not the reason they don't play Evacuation.

As for new music, Pearl Jam has been working on and off since July 2021 with producer Andrew Watt at multiple Los Angeles-area studios. “We’re going to be working on some more music between now and the end of the year and hopefully finish a record,” guitarist Stone Gossard tells SPIN of the follow-up to 2020’s Gigaton. “That’s the plan. The little bits that I’ve heard so far that are mixed are sounding good. I’m excited. It’s going to be a rock record.”
