Chapter 24 “the return”

Totally not what I expected. Some excellent action scenes but overall 9/10

Din Grogu!!
Axe and the Armourer didn’t betray anyone
Later Moff Gideon and your clones
Grogu and Mando vs Preatorian Giards was nice

The Mythosaur appearance was a nice ending with Grogu being able to sense/wake it.

No Boba and or Ahsoka was a surprise.

Like the rest of the series I loved every minute of the finale. But not as epic as previous finales.

Spewing no end credit scene

Absolutely loved that. All of it.
Such a perfect happy ending :)

Looks like season four is gonna be Mando taking over the Rangers of the new republic storylines.
Good.

That was definitely a clone of Gideon they were fighting. Not the real Gideon.
Why else would he have that super strength ? The armour wouldn’t give that or do that for him

Ahsoka and Luke and his boba fett are gonna turn up in the finale and save Mando and kick ass.
That would be kick ass

Grogu and Ahsoka will save a helmetless Mando and kick the praetorian guards ass imho!!

Slave 1 and the ghost will assist with the aerial attack.
Possibly purrgil and Ezra.

The mandos and Bo will get trapped by a large army down by the living waters. Bo will have a “I’ll be right back” moment and the mandos will think she abandoned them.

Until she arrives and leads them with the mythosaur.

Boba , Fennec , ahsoka, Mando ,Grogu and co assist in winning the war and saving Mandalore.

Gideon ultimately loses and is taken to Thrawn.

I’d love if Luke rocked up but not expecting it. Admittedly I didn’t expect Luke in the season 2 finale so what do I know.
The finale is only 30 minutes long. That is a lot to happen in 30 minutes.

I think I’ll just Stop with predictions:-)

That was a really satisfying finale. I realized half way through I was super nervous about those Mando dying rumor and I really didn't want it to happen. It would have been a very odd choice but I thought maybe some behind the scenes drama??? Glad it didn't go down that way. Only nitpick was they seemed to make it really clear those jet packs were short range and that got thrown out with that dude achieving orbit or whatever but a minor complaint. Episode 2 and this one were the best of the season. Hopefully season 4 has more highlights.

Lol I thought that about the jetppacks as well.

Good episode, wrapped it up nicely enough.

The only thing that annoyed me was at the end in their little cabin, you can't take your helmet off then? Come on, I want to see me some Pedro!

I had the same thought. Grogu has previously seen him helmet off. And now he’s his dad!!

Should’ve been pedro sitting there!!

Well, fellas, I thought the finale was one of the better episodes of the season.

Grogu making that force field from the fire/explosion was pretty cool. I 'm glad they felt confident enough to pull off the episode without a Luke or Ashoka appearance.

Oh, that was Grogu summoning the beast? Interesting.

My only nit is that the characters kept referring to Mando and his "upcoming adventures" with Grogu as if they were really trying to sell us on this idea like a TV commercial. Clunky dialog at best.

‪Turns out the spies in the last episode were The Mandalorians themselves returning to scope out Mandalore to take it back. It’s a biblical reference. Moses sending people to the holy land to see if it’s safe to return. There was a quote from Exodus on the fragment Din showed the armourer in the 1st episode too. ‬The aurabesh nerds translated it to English.

Some cool action stuff but otherwise pretty boring and too tidy.

That Moff armor was tough. He survived. If Boba’s armor survived the sarlacc that armor survived that blast

I remain convinced that was one of his clones they were fighting. The shit is making mech kinda noises. But it wouldn’t give him that strength.

Think we’ll see the real Gideon back at some point.

I think it was way too easy to find the clones and destroy them so if that was a clone fighting then I wouldn't be sad about that.

When Gideon was monitoring them on the security system, I wish the green dot representing Grogu had his ears.

Someone sent and checked (cos of course they did) but there’s a few Mando ships (The cool one bo katan flies. Think they’re called Fangs) in the massive fleet at the battle of Exegol in ROS.

If it was a clone of him he would use the force though right? Plus he was upset all of his clones were destroyed

I think his armor was reinforced with hydraulics or something. It kept making mechanical sounds when he was tossing Din and Bo
