I think Covenant is a weird, fucked up gothic horror movie that is very ambitious and also a lot of fun the whole way through. And it looks great. I also really like Prometheus. It's a shame that Scott didn't get to finish that trilogy

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Did not expect anyone to say it looks great, I think it looks cheap in several places and has dodgier cgi than Prometheus.

Basically yeah. His planned follow-up died after the movie underperformed at the box office

Prometheus was frustrating. Some cool stuff, but some of the most catastrophically dumb plot points I've ever seen. Never saw the other one.

I somewhat agree, minus the hyperbole, but I still really like it. Same with Covenant. I like all the Alien movies. The cool stuff always outweighs the dumb stuff for me.

Great movies. CGI isn't the only thing driving Covenant's appearance (although I still consider it to be decent). Bit of a poo brained take, that.

I don't know how you could say Covenant and Prometheus don't look great. Unless you really like color.
