LB actually has a pretty sweet groove to it. Especially out of the first chorus during Mikes solo (which I love!). After his E-Bow part and prior to kicking in to his usually Chuck Berry part there is a noise that kicks up in the right channel. ALmost as if its a - lightning bolt!). I think he probably just slides down the neck of the guitar creating anice little accent but dbag BOB did something with it. tis small and quick but definitely noticeable. I like it.

So judging by this album, Jeff should really be in charge of shit on the PJ front

Something we can all agree on, I think.

All his songs are the best, even the ones he didn't write he contributes to in a major way (recently revealed he pretty much wrote the vocal melody to Getaway via his kick ass bassline)

I remember in that interview he seemed to be the one most fired up and passionate about carrying on the record. Looks like he maybe took the reins. Good on him.

Jeff Ament: I wished I had more time with those songs [on Vitalogy and No Code], you know what I mean? Ed would show us a song, [we'd] play it twice, and that … ended up going out there.
SG: I don't think we've made a perfect Pearl Jam record.
Mike McCready: Sometimes I hear [fans say] No Code, that … ''is my absolutely favourite record for all time''. That was not the case for me … [but] it makes me excited that I can now look at it a different way.
MR: Guys i think No Code is fucking awesome
JA: I like that record because Present Tense and In My Tree are two of my favourite songs. I love those lyrics.

This Jeff? Hell no. They'd never be able to finish a record because he'd change his mind every time someone would say something is fucking awesome.

His first guitar solo is used with an E bow, he does that phrase twice, then he drops the e bow and does his usually bluesy chuck berry line, it is right in the middle of those two. 1:24

I can't find it, but I'm referring to a specific interview around the time of the "break", where Eddie and the band were doing their own thing and Jeff said he really wanted to get back into the studio whenever they said go.
