Hey man. It’s been a pretty good one. The youngest’s upper level cheer team got 1st! Considering they weren’t even a gym 6 months ago, it’s astounding they even got to Nationals.

All the Moose Lodgers left this morning so the pool area is all but empty tonight.

(The bar music went from SG to Peter Gabriel, Shock the Monkey, to Stayin’ Alive to MotownPhilly, Boyz II Men. Pretty grooving place.)

I really felt I'd done enough hospitals in recent times to be able to avoid them for a while. But here I find myself once again sitting beside a hospital bed this random Monday.

Daughter has an 8cm cyst on her ovary and a UTI heading to her kidney. Her and the wife spent all day in ED and she's finally now been admitted. She's had good pain meds (she's kinda tripping balls tbh) and has scored herself a private room, so it's not all bad. And she's in good hands too of course.

About to head home but back in the early morning as she has surgery at 830 to remove the cyst.

Man, it was meant to be a nice quiet day after what was a lovely weekend away with the wiffey. Oh well, it's not all about me I guess...

How old is she Higgs?

Those are really pretty common as is the surgery for removal. While you and I will never experience it, I understand the pain associated with them is excruciating. I wish her the best.
