The more I sit on this season, the more I see it as a missed opportunity.

Agreed. Threatened to be brilliant but never was.

Its a set up season. But a re-edit would be interesting they say they left a lot out.

Im waiting for that kai Patterson the guy that re-cut Obiwan to do the same with mando season 3.

My First cut would be to remove the whole Dr Pershing story.

Automatically Season 3 would be way better.

Dr. Pershing stuff = The final two episodes on Mandalore

Both seemed out of place. The former like watered down Andor and the latter a generic Marvel-esque CGI-fest.

See I thought the episodes on Mandalore were my fav.

The Mines of Mandalore, The SPies & The Return were awesome.

Those and the Pirate were my fav 4 episodes.

Ill take those episodes over the Convert and Guns For Hire.

MY second cut would probably see Bo bypass Plazir-15 (JB and Lizzos city) and just go straight to Wolfe and reclaim her lead of the mandos.

The Mines of Mandalore was great because it focused on the characters in the spirit of the established series.

I just couldn't get into the larger fight for Mandalore/Moff Gideon stuff at all. Moff Gideon was a complete caricature. Bo Katan is fine as a character, but her becoming such a prominent part of this season was jarring at times. Felt like a new season of Clone Wars featuring Din Djarin and Grogu.

Bring on season 4.

I’m assuming we will know more at the end of Ahsoka and Skeleton crew re future of Djin and Grogu

Seeing as skeleton Crew is Jude law looking after younglings. I’m assuming Djin will be called in to assist with the saving of younglings as a crossover.

Then Grogu will have more younglings to hang with. Will they end up back with Luke ?

Bring on August

My youngest started watching this. He's really enjoying it. I've caught some moments here and there while he's watching. It's interesting the tone feels very different in previous seasons from Season 3. Almost like there was a change in showrunner. Has Favreau backed off and Filoni taken over and they kept it quite or something? I didn't really notice the difference while watching Season 3 but now comparing it to previous seasons its seems obvious there was a change. I'm not up on my Mando gossip maybe this is old news or I'm way off no idea.

Filoni was working on Ashoka. They cancelled the Rangers show. Pedro had schedule conflicts. So Boba and Mando 3 were dramatically changed during filming to accommodate the storytelling needed and the actor's schedule.

I still think S3 is easily the best season of the show so far, but I understand why must people feel differently. It really did shift significantly. I just happen to think it shifted into a way better show.

I don’t think Pedro scheduling conflicts have any impact. He’s basically a voiceover actor in this show.

Right but that's what you didn't see his face at all in S3 or Boba. He wasn't on set at all. Unlike S1& S2.

Also, rumor has it, Pedro's schedule is why S3 was pushed and also contributed to why we get two Mando centric Boba eps.

I don't think Ruddo meant that to be literal.
