Had hoped to go and see this over the weekend with the family while we're out of town, but everyone I spoken with who has seen it says it's not really suitable for little kids, so I guess I'll have to wait some more

We saw it yesterday. Everyone enjoyed it. The Weaselings were bawling at the appropriate times and even Mrs Wease had some tears a couple of places.

I went into it having read interviews with a couple of them so I kept waiting
to see how the send offs would occur. I’d still love to see
more with these characters. Very glad we’ll see more Quill. (Loved the
newspaper headline in the after credits scene).

I was pretty thrown by how different High Evolutionary was from his comics
iteration. Spent the whole movie trying to get over that. Warlock and how he
was handled was way different than I was expecting so that distracted me
as well. (Not the fact he was different from the comics, just that it wasn’t
what I expected.)

Cosmo was a very pleasant addition.

The reunion with Quill was quite moving.

Enjoyed Yondu.

Wish we could’ve seen some action with Starhawk and Martinex.

Rocket’s origin. Loved Lylla, Teefs and Floor. Very predictable, still very emotional.

I’m sure I’ll think of more later.

I finally got to see it this weekend, I agree with everything wease said.

I also think you should call out the scene with the buttons on their space suits. There was a lot of out loud laughing throughout that scene. It was hilarious.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

I hope this movie convinces Fiege to leave a little bit of the universe building for the Avengers movies and stop cramming it all into the individual movies.

Haven’t seen this yet but the reviews from you lads are so encouraging.
The Guardians films are the only marvel films with any heart and only films that are relatable in a good sense.
Excited to see it now

Thanks lads.

No other marvel films have made me laugh so much. They hard earned the right to make us all cry.

Kids dragged me to this today. I shut the Holiday Special off 10 mins in it was too stupid so I wasn't really thinking I needed to see this in the theatre. I loved it. I'm with Jorge this might be the best MCU movie. I don't typically like it when a movie can't pick a tone but Gunn handed it expertly. Funny, sad, action, weird....it had everything. Might have had the best MCU bad guy. I legitimately cared about CGI critters. That's an impossible feat. I'm all of a sudden more interested in Superman. Might even give the Holiday movie another shot next Christmas season. Fantastic coda to when Marvel was good.

One thing I thought was a little strange was Mantis kinda becoming a slapstick bit with her weird motions; specifically when they’re in the 2001 space suits and she’s just like bouncing around while everyone is moving organically
