3 - 8 are very well liked in general, especially 5 which is regarded as the best one and an all-around great movie. But people did not seem to like 9 from what I can tell, and X seems to continue the downhill trend.

I don't even remember which ones I've seen. Maybe the first two?

I thought the stunt show feel of those movies was a large part of their appeal.

I saw or read somewhere...I wish I remembered where but some of the crew were upset because they filmed practical on a train sequence but then they overlaid bad CGI over the top of it.

Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

The second weekend drop is what I'm most interested in. For kid movies (any movie really) to really make the money the little monsters have to convince their parents to take them back for repeat viewings. At 2 hours and 15 mins will the movie keep their interest and will parents be willing to sit through it again? If yes they are in good shape. If no and with soft international numbers it might fizzle fast.
