According to google Rex was born 32BBY.

So he would be technically 41 years old but with the growth acceleration he would be over 80.

So certainly not dead like I thought.

I just had to google Rex and it's confusing. Why would he be a clone?

I don't understand your question. Rex is a clone. He commanded the 501st (battalion of clones) in The Clone Wars.

What do you mean "why would he be a clone?"

he doesn't look like the original clone, it's a different actor with a name that may or may not be Rex in ROTJ.

I think it's just fan theories looking for something that isn't there.

Oh! I think I see what's going on. Yes, you should see my post to wease on the previous page. Rex is not Nik Sant. However, both have white beads and both were at the battle of Endor.

Two different characters. One is a clone, one is not.

He was first identified as Nik Sant in The Official Star Wars Fact File 44 in 2002.[6] According to a continuity polaroid from Return of the Jedi, he was portrayed by one "L. Burner."[7]

There is no fucking way that two guys with white beards fought at the Battle of Endor!

We’re into the weeds here

More weeds on this one short page than the whole of endor itself

Basically, the name Rex did not exist at the time of the Endor battle and this is a bit of retconning (unofficially, but maybe official through this new TV series?)

No. The guy at the end of RotJ is NOT Rex. Is just some guy, always has been.

In other SW canon, it was mentioned that Captain Rex, from the Clone Wars, took part in the battle of Endor. But he isn't the guy in the film. He wasn't shown in RotJ.

SW creates this crap with all the revising and adding facts to previous movies when those characters never existed in the first place.

I mean in 1983 I'm gonna guess there was no Rex character created (unless it was in Lucas' head).

Gonna guess Rex showed up after the movie and then some ding dong was like: He was in the Battle of Endor! (but not really, we are just making that up now).

I don't know why Filoni felt he had to give an answer to that question anyhow. If Rex was at the Battle of Endor, why not let fans theorize whether it was him or not.

I'm looking at Nick Sant's Wookiepedia page, and the whole thing is about how much this guy looks like Rex and almost nothing else. Who even made up the name Nick Sant?
