I like this show quite a bit. Only three episodes in, though.Jorge wrote:I watched the first 5 epiosdes of Love & Death and it's a little boring but I'm kind of in love with Elizabeth Olsen so I'm still watching.

Re: What are you currently watching on TV?
I just finished the first season and this show is awesome. At the same time seeing the credits made me wonder about few things - I mean you kind of get the impression that we see the world through the eyes of this John Wilson person and hear his thoughts, but the show has e.g. 3 writers and six 2nd unit camera operators. I didn't necessarily expect things to happen chronologically the way the are presented in the show (like him going all of a sudden skiing to escape the nicotine withdrawals), but I guess I kind of expected it to be more a documentary than a fiction (him sharing his personal thoughts about the world around him using the material he has shot over the years), but now I'm not so sure about it anymore. Is the landlady just an actor? Who knows, maybe I'm just an idiot but the show is smart and funny anyways.JuanHamm wrote:Do you have HBO Max?
Check out How to with John Wilson.

Susan Orlean is a writer on season two, which is really surprising and odd to mecontamination wrote:I just finished the first season and this show is awesome. Trying to get through Twin Peaks again. I've never finished even season one, but I'm just going to grit my teeth and get through it. About halfway through season one now, which I believe is the farthest I've gotten in three or four tries over the years. It's not good, I don't know why it's so beloved. But I'm going to watch it, dammit. I want to be culturally literate!

You should just stop watching. There isn't a point if you don't like it.The Argonaut wrote:Trying to get through Twin Peaks again. If that's your take three episodes in, it's only gonna get worse for you, y'know. There's no point. With so much content out there, why force yourself to endure something you dislike?

Re: What are you currently watching on TV?
Agreed. Twin Peaks is a top 5 all-timer for me. Probably top 3. Maybe top 2.
