Didn't we have this conversation about a month ago? But yeah, cancellation would be a very tiny minor consequence.

The cancellation aspect probably comes into play with the presumption of guilt without evidence, something that used to occur a lot more often, but with all the false accusations lately that idiotic idea has thankfully faded I bit.
