How to Handle a Rope / The Queens of the Stone Age Thread

Other than Pearl Jam, who else is there?

Suture Up My Future rules so hard.
Make it wit chu rules
I'll give it more time. I've listened to this album three times in the last few days and it just keeps getting better.
There's a demo version of make it wit chu that sucks. There was an interview with Josh discussing how they just couldn't really get it right. Something about the groove.

Difference between demo and finished version is a good lesson in something.

Anywho. I love that song.

The songs on this record are some of Josh's very best work. His production choices are not for everyone.

Most of Josh's records since Rated R have had that flat robot skronk aesthetic, so I expect it is mostly him. The only outlier would be the Vultures record.

You could probably make a compelling argument that those very consistent sonic choices are a reaction to his Kyuss and S/T days.

Agree with this. The production really wasn't doing it for me at first, but the songs are undeniable, so I got over it pretty fast.

Nice seeing some love for Vulgaris. Make it Wit Chu doesn't rule tho. I would argue that it doesn't even really fit the vibe of the album, but they figured it had to be on there due to the strong crowd response it got on the Lullabies tour.

I dont necessarily hate the studio version, but it went way harder live.

He's going to shit. And so he should. A black mark on the Queens catalogue.

I'm fairly certain that this would not have played a role in the band's decision making process.
