Yeah a lot of really cool people with and without micro penises seem to really love that movie. It's just too dumb for me.

Beautifully put, Lenny. I couldn't have said it better myself.

Intriguing start to this.
Solid Almodovar film this. Not his very best, but well worth watching.

It’s just so intentionally ridiculous and Will Forte is perfect for its execution.

One's enjoyment of the movie seems like it would be largely dependent on their tolerance of Will Forte in general.

I actually really like Forte's performance. I just feel the content and supporting cast with which he has to work is lacking.

I still need to see it. I adore Almodovar and I adore the source material. It's absolutely stupid that I haven't seen this dang movie yet.

It’ll be there when you find the right time for it. Hope you enjoy it.

Don’t Breathe

«A trio of thieves hoping to raid their last hit break into a blind man's home (retired soldier) hoping to get a certain amount of cash given to him as a settlement for his daughter's death. Little did they know that it was a trap house, as the blind man was not as helpless as he seems.»

Hopefully a good one.

Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Is that bad English? I like the thought that there are lots of great movies out there that I haven’t seen. They are out there, just waiting for me to eventually see them.

I liked it much more on my second viewing. I think it's brilliant

Beyond Cate Blanchett's performance, and just being all around well directed and shot, shout-out to the editing and sound design. Those are things I usually don't really think about, but found to be very effective here.

Air. Not great, not a lot to it. Would rather just watch a documentary.

Sieranevada was really good. Best I’ve seen the past week or so. Reminded me of my time in Romania.
