Re: Talk about your day thread
sorry to hear coach
but cholestorol mostly comes from within
i had high cholesterol for a while and went on the pills a few months ago and it came right down
no side effects, i can still drink
and with RM weight loss i feel way less guilty about when i do decide to eat crap
i had a boss who was in good health and randomly needed a quadruple bypass
plaque in the arteries
just take the pill and have peace of mind
it’s really no big deal

Yep, I have less than a year left on the lease and I will def be getting out of that car.bart wrote:trade in the beamer for a honda
I've leased VWs, Nissans before and will look into Honda, too.
Also, something I learned from driving that car is that the way you spell it is actually "bimmer"

Thanks, yeah it blows because I worked hard to lose that weight but it went up anyway. Starting Crestor this week. I guess I have muscle aches to look forward to.96583UP wrote:sorry to hear coach

But yes, I agree, the RM weight loss thread definitely makes it easier to hold myself accountable. I've added 3-4 pounds since early May (I like to look back at the old pages for weigh-ins) and that's def a good motivator for me.

Don’t lease either. Buy something used and run it into the ground.Coach wrote:Yep, I have less than a year left on the lease and I will def be getting out of that car.bart wrote:trade in the beamer for a honda

this is why people shouldnt just people for medical conditions based on fallicies such as weight. my first go around with being overweight (296) my BP, cholesterol and everything else was in very healthy range. i drop 90lbs and then my heart goes bonkers, my blood pressure spikes etc

Do you know how people sometimes temporarily lose their hair when losing that much weight? I wonder if it's a shock to the system?Peeps wrote:it beats the alternative.....Coach wrote:Sucks getting old lol

Where would you be if you hadn’t slimmed down? Does not seem mutually exclusive.Peeps wrote:it beats the alternative.....Coach wrote:Sucks getting old lol

Re: Talk about your day thread
fighting a head-cold today
but didn't stop me from laying down some mulch on my arbs
40 bags
just put on the apple music
queued up the Nirvana Reading '92 show
and went to work
distributing the bags
opening the bags
dumping the bags
spreading the mulch
this should help preserve moisture now that we are entering the higgity hot part of summer
arborvitae are surface-rooted
doesn't take much for them to dry out
now they have deeper mulch
deep like my soul

Re: Talk about your day thread
did you know the original lyric in 'All Apologies' was not 'Everyone is Gay', it was 'All my words are grey'
much better lyric
fits the verse way better
and way more interesting visualization

There is an eagle in me and a mockingbird . . . and the eagle flies among the Rocky Mountains of my dreams and fights among the Sierra crags of what I want . . . and the mockingbird warbles in the early forenoon before the dew is gone, warbles in the underbrush of my Chattanoogas of hope, gushes over the blue Ozark foothills of my wishes—And I got the eagle and the mockingbird from the wilderness.
O, I got a zoo, I got a menagerie, inside my ribs, under my bony head, under my red-valve heart—and I got something else: it is a man-child heart, a woman-child heart: it is a father and mother and lover: it came from God-Knows-Where: it is going to God-Knows-Where—For I am the keeper of the zoo: I say yes and no: I sing and kill and work: I am a pal of the world: I came from the wilderness.
