The first 7 tracks on this rival any stretch in their catalogue.

I thought that was slang for a sandy vagina. Is that... is that not right?

Strat says you're right and I'm not about to argue with him.

Right... holy shit. If I was a defender I'm not sure I could bring myself to try and tackle him next time he plays. Seriously. I can't even imagine.

Ill be shocked if he plays.

Sure, he said he was going to play before the news of the child dying came out, but im guessing he was in the know before the media....and he still said he would play.

I dont know. Wrong thread for it but...wow.

I will say this.... Lightning Bolt is the first Pearl Jam album in... I don't know how long that doesn't have a song I dislike on it. I'm sure some will sound worn after a year or two, but I at least like all of them. Usually there's at least one that I really dislike from the first listen.

And I'm on my third listen (LtRP is on right now) and I have to say, each song has gotten better with each spin. This is a really strong album.

Im trying not to say how much i love the album due to it being new album buzz but deep down something is telling me there is something really great going on here.

Oh for sure. It's still way early. But I'm excited!

I agree. Just finished my 3rd straight front to back listen. This blows away my expectations. I'm sure I'll cool on some songs, but right now I am very pleased.

The band and their management is nailing the promotion of this album too.
