Obviously I'm way late commenting but I was on vacation from game 4 until Tuesday, but what a season by the Heat. Very disappointing end, especially with I have to assume an injured Jimmy Butler, but it'll go down as one of the most memorable and joyous playoff runs of my sports fan life. If they'd managed to win it would have easily eclipsed my joy from previous Heat championships, but it wasn't meant to be.

What a strange year. I was annoyed when they won that play-in game against the Bulls, that's how frustrating the regular season had been. It seemed like a redux of 2021 when they ran it back with the 2020 team that was so much fun and then crashed and burned in a joyless unlovable sequel. The whole regular season felt like that, but then the playoffs were right back to the exuberant, scrappy, easy to love teams of 2020 and 2022. Go figure.

Just needed to say that real quick since we're all obviously onto next season now. And this Heat team may or may not about to become radically different.

Well said, they had a great playoff run.

Now, our eyes turn to the draft.

Seems like a true Last Dance season. Warriors going to sign Draymond to a 1+1 and give it one last shot. They now have very little committed in salaries beyond 2025.

Interesting gamble on Paul... maybe this completely blows up and that new Cs pick is suddenly great!

Does Smart have to dye his hair a different color now?

Trade makes sense. He was blocking White, and they needed to free up minutes for Brogdon since they’re stuck with him.

As their new star, they should change the unis to match his hair.

Somebody will take Brogdon. Has to happen.

Idk, if the Clippers weren't willing to take him to dump that awful Marcus Morris contract there might not be a market for him.

He'll be thrown in with somebody or one of these newly acquired 1st rounders for someone that can be more dependable for this next season.

Poole unfollowing Dray on IG while packing his bags for Washington was a big ol' chef's kiss.

It feels more like the Grammy's than a draft. Too much glitz and awkward interviews. I miss the old meat and potatoes drafts.

No, I can't really watch it either. I have to flip away whenever an interview starts.

Did you catch LeBatard on the Lowe Post? He shared similar sentiments and really captured why championships are not everything.
