Maybe Boom isn't the only one being replaced by Andrew Watt.

Re: 12th album rumors and speculation
this band peaked musically at the grunt sound in ‘Obey the Law of the Heart’ and it’s pointless to even attempt any new music after that apex was reached

Re: 12th album rumors and speculation
they could still redeem themselves
if they do a killer version of 'Of The Earth' in a recording studio / instrument sound that sounds like Vs. or Vitalogy sessions
that is the only way
i can think of currently
that or Boom gets to sing a song on keytar
only two ways
to redemption

It has all fooled into believing it was the next Tremor Christblueviper wrote:Remember that leaked live snippet of "Infallible" that was from a soundcheck and it sounded super heavy and great? And then the album version had a lot of weird sounds effects and was neutered.
I'll take a bit rough around the edges and dirty than something that's processed and cleaned up for a studio recording.
I remember someone replied to somebody else's skepticism with "I KNOW WHAT I'M HEARING!"

He’s gonna say they’ve all brought in some cool demos and shit but they’ve not actually started recording it yet.oftheearth wrote:Oh god. This is getting comical at this point. Re: 12th album rumors and speculation
the way I acted in the run-up to, and aftermath of Lightning Bolt is fucking embarrassing to look back on now but I really was desperately clinging onto any shots of serotonin I could find at the timeLounge Lizard wrote:I remember my excitement being genuinely whipped up into something crazy from listening to snippets of every Backspacer song that they released on Youtube as teasers a few weeks before the album's launch. Only to later pretend like that record never happened.
I'm really pulling the reigns in on this one.
I'm generally happier now so yeah, give me Gigaton again and I'll be alright with it; there's really no excuse for something worse than the Giga at this point, it's the new gold standard

That would indeed be awesome. The Of The Earth thing, not Boom.96583UP wrote:they could still redeem themselves

The best part of this thread so far was ellisemanos calling 9up’s haikus awful when he’s been consistently laying down the worst fake PJ song titles in the galaxy
