I think I'm in denial about the chorus. Yeah, it stops it being a great song rather than just a really good one.

If you like it then you like it!
I've tried to like it and it isn't working lol, I'm just annoyed its there before I get to listen to the next verse, and then it kicks in and goes all 'yeah yeah'.....and nope definitely don't like it.

Re: Fall 2013 North American Tour
Some of these songs would've been helped by that cool thing they used to do where they put a deep-baritone spoken-word vocal underneath the main sung one (see "Breakerfall"). That would've given depth to the chorus vocal. I'm surprised and a bit disappointed that, with all the other vocal effects going on in the album, this chorus is just plain and boring.

I love how much Stone looked like he was enjoying Pendulum live
Stepping from left to right and air-drumming.

Yeah I love that effect. I'd have added it to mfs just to add to the batshit insanityharmless wrote:Some of these songs would've been helped by that cool thing they used to do where they put a deep-baritone spoken-word vocal underneath the main sung one (see "Breakerfall"). And yeah its a really insubstantial sounding chorus imo.

I love the chorus. Totally necessary for the song and sounds great!harmless wrote:I think I'm in denial about the chorus. Yeah, it stops it being a great song rather than just a really good one.

Yes. That's another thing; there's a nice clash of dark and light, like the lot of it really.stip wrote:I love the chorus. Totally necessary for the song and sounds great!harmless wrote:I think I'm in denial about the chorus. Yeah, it stops it being a great song rather than just a really good one.

Yeah but its done digitally I think. He didnt say d-d-drown, they added it after the fact. Which it just weird to me. Not bad or anything, just weird lol.harmless wrote:The d-d-drown thing is a nod to The Who, right? "My g-g-g-generation?" So yeah, it's finestupidmop wrote:Yeah I love that effect. Surprisingly Sirens was not very good vocally. Ed sounded a bit off. I thought this one would be easier to sing for him.

Yeah, it's pretty high. I didn't think he'd quite manage it.

Re: Fall 2013 North American Tour
I just listened to some of the Pitt vids and OMG...
EDDIE SOUNDS AT LEAST THREE YEARS YOUNGER IF NOT MORE!!!!
He sounded terrible in 2012 but he sounded great last night!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm so excited now. He nailed all the high notes. HE STOPPED DOING THE breaks in his voice and added the slides back in!!!!!!! On the high note in pendulum he slid instead of doing "WHICH WAY TO GO...HOOOO!!!" THANK GOD!

Some of these Pittsburgh videos sound insane. Has Ed had a voice transplant? He sounds pretty much like he did on Vs. here.
